Has she been spayed?

How old is she?

How long has she had free run of the house?

Default Using our bathroom

For the past few days, my bun has chosen to use my hallway downstairs as her
litter box (in addition to her own in another part of the house of course).
This hallway is the very path to our half-bathroom downstairs. She's even
left several droppings outside our door and has even urinated a several
times there. She'll even go on what DH calls a "poopfest" in our upstairs
bathroom. I keep telling him if we could train her to use the toilet we'd
have it knocked! LOL!!

Does anyone have any suggestions on why she might be doing this? Should I
put a litter box in the half bathroom? I'm wary of doing this since it's the
most public bathroom in the house and everyone that visits uses it as
opposed to upstairs.

I've tried vinegar and water to discourage using in the same place and it
works, but she just picks a different spot in that hallway. One that I
haven't already sprayed.

Perhaps a litter box near the area?

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Just a question. Has your bun been neutered?

Just keep the door closed. If you have ****aged children, you could put
a spring-loaded closer on the door, as most ****agers are unable to
close interior doors on their own.

No, she's not spayed and I think she's not quite a year old yet. According
to the guy I got her from, she's about 6 or 7 months old.

We got her the Thursday before Easter and she's had the run of the house
since then. This is a very new thing she's been doing. As I mentioned only
for the past three or four days.

Right now, spaying isn't an option for me both financially and the fact that
I don't have "rabbit friendly" doctors here where I live. They classify
rabbits as "high risk" and it will cost me $203 (plus tax) whether she
survives or not.

I could keep the door closed to the bathroom, but that's not the only
problem. She's doing it in the hallway right outside bathroom. The carpet is
pretty old and has seen many pets like dogs & cats. Is it possible she's
smelling other animals there?

Sometimes bunnies do better if they don't get huge amounts of
territory at first. They get a chance to establish potty places and
good habits in small areas.

Unfortunately, this sounds like hormone related marking. It's possible
it will go away after spring is over, but your best bet is spaying.

Possibly.

Is there a way to confine her to a easily cleaned area?
