The other day our normal animal delivery arrived at our store.

The associate who received the animals in came over to me after the driver
had left, and asked me to look at what they had just delivered for dwarf
hamsters.

The tiny little bundle of fluff in her hand was no bigger than a shooter
marble, and measured out to barely 1 1/4" in length.

She said there were 3 like that, all the same, probably all brothers. I
took the time to chat with our manager on duty about it and insist they put
in an incident report about it since these were FAR too small to have been
shipped in for sale. They are supposed to be 8-10 weeks old minimum, and
there's no way these were.

All 3 are now home with me, and being watched over very carefully. One is
slightly bigger than the other 2, but there's one thats a real runt, tiny
and scruffy. The funny thing is, he's the one picking battles with his
brothers, jumping on their backs and wrestling with them. I take that high
activity level as a good sign, but am still fearful they were taken from
their mother too soon.

They have no names as of yet, we may not be able to keep them for long as we
are already way over what we should have, and if my landlord ever caught us
we'd be out on the street in a minute.

Aaaaaaaaaaaw.......they are soooo cute! The one shown holding his food treat
looks just like my little hammie did when I first saw him, only Hami was a bit
bigger.

That does it!!! I have to adopt another little furball soon. In fact, I am
hoping that I get over the worst of my grief over the recent loss of my little
hammie within the next few weeks, so I can give a new little hammie a home by
Christmas.

Where is your store located? If it is anywhere near where I live, save that
little guy for me and I'll be right over ;-)

BTW, that little guy doesn't look like a dwarf hammie to me; he looks like a
Syrian to me. Did they completely screw up when they sent those little guys?

They are so cute! Might I suggest the names "Manny, Moe, and Jack?"
(These are the names of the three "Pep Boys" - which is a chain of
automotive stores in parts of the US.) Hopefully, they will continue
to thrive!

They are just too cute!! I'm glad that someone came and told you about them
before they were bought by someone from the public who didn't know what they
were doing.

They are cute aren't they? But no, they're not Syrians, they are Campbells
Argentene too, I believe, at least from the pictures that looks like their
coloring
