Default Buster & His toe

I think some of you may remember last month when I said the vet diagnosed
our boy as having a malignant tumor on his foot. We opted not to have
surgery and to keep him happy for as long as possible. Well, he's still
happy, alert, loves his treats, gets out of the cage and sits on my back and
grooms, he's happy. But, I have to admit, as fast as that thing grew on his
foot, I thought by now it would be affecting him in some way more visible.
It has crossed my mind that this tumor has alot of similarities to
bumblefoot. I have read some on the symptoms, and they sound similar. I
have seen pictures that looks so similar to his "tumor" -I've got the idea
that I should at least start him on some anti-biotics and also start
treating the foot with Blu-Kote. Has anyone ever experienced bumblefoot
with their "kids"? I am hoping that I might learn something if others have
an experience to talk about.
Thanks for listening!

My mom was successful at keeping her guys bumblefoot from becoming too bad.
Novo Trimel is a very good med for bumblefoot and other cysts or abscesses.
Also, padding your cage will help a lot. Bumblefoot is basically like
bedsores, so the less pressure on his toe, the better.
It would be great if it did heal up!!
