Default My couch ate my rat

Ok, I'm sure you've all been in this situation.

My rat ran under the couch and... well... I can't get her out. I think
she thinks its a game. She's not very responsive to treats, she'll take
them from you and drop them immediatly and continue on her way...
wait... she's watching me...

Failed attempt to collect.

Now, however, she's moved from the couch to the elliptical machine. I
never realized how much fun these things could be for a rat.

Have you ever turned a couch over and looked? Its like ratty heaven!
Places to hide and crawl... and things to tear up... and you can't get
caught for it!

I'm going to get some boards to nail to the bottom of the couch when
this is through, and every couch after that will be tied up tight!

Ugh. I've set her cage open near her with a new batch of food. Its been
about 2 hours now... she has to be getting hungry!

LOL!! I know... it's not funny but the way you describe it...
I've had to turn over couches, chairs even lazyboys. Keep the cage near,
she should go home eventually.
My sister's couch is covered in duct tape. LOL!

lol, no... its funny. My apartment is well sealed, even if she did get
lost in here... she'd only be in here.

She's back... I tempted her with a penny from her cage. She doesn't do
anything with them, but loves to take them and drop them... *shrugs*

I'm lucky in the fact my couch has legs so it can't eat my boys, but Art ate
my couch, well a good sized hole anyway, he took his treats in behind a
cushion and I thought he was eating them, nope he was eating the couch.

most lounges have stretched faberic covering the insides at the bottom.

just make sure its not a chair with mechanical things in it, lean back, feet
rests, things could hurt ratties.

on another note, my ratties live in the garage tonight, and currently are in
the hood of my jumper having a load of fun..

That's happened to me quite a few times. Only when I gave the couch
away did I notice the extend of the damage. The stuffing was completely
tunneled and bite marks everywhere!
