I decided to go ahead and get Ratisha a little playmate. One of my
neighbor kids down the street knew someone who had a few rats who had
babies they waned to sell.

I went down today and looked at what little ones they had. They had 2
litters to sell, one about 1 month old and 1 about 2 months old from 2
different sets of parents.

I asked about the parents history. The moms came from a breeder in
Tennesee and the dads came from pet stores. I got to hold the parents
and see how they react to me and got to play with all the little ones.

I decided to go with one that was about 2 months old since she was
bigger and closer to my Ratisha's size compared to the 1 month olds (
The new little one is still about 1 1/2 inches smaller though)

I put up the hamster play pen that I have that makes about a 3 foot
circle and put the new little one in it and then set Ratisha's cage down
with it and let her come out to great her new sister.

They seem to be doing fine together. They went back into the cage
together now. They are sleeping in the hideout together right now.

So now I have 2 fuzzy little ratties.
Ratisha.....Ra...Tee......Sha
and
Rodentia.....Ro....Den....Shee....a

I'll keep you posted on how they are doing and I'll try to find my
digital to post a few pics soon.

It's great when introductions go so well, isn't it wonderful to see new
friends snuggling up together for the first time?

Noticed you've changed your sig to rat - very apt for these wonderful little
creatures!
