It probably is some kind of "nesting " thing. Our Love Birds favorite toy
used to be if I made a small cardboard box. I would make it with no hole in
it, and put it in her cage or where she could get it. She would chew a hole
in it and climb in, make all kinds of chips and squawks in there. She also
got real aggressive about the box and would bite if you came near her when
she was playing with it. I would often take it for a while to calm her down
again. When she did not have a new box to tear up we had to keep an eye on
her as she would look for something else to destroy. <G>
