We are currenlty looking for PHP Developers, in our Cape Town office, to help us meet our growth needs. Location: Cape Town, WC Travel Involved: None Job Type: Full Time Level of Experience: Skilled Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience Salary: negotiable Position Summary: The ideal candidate will work well in a fast paced environment and deal professionally with internal and external clients in order to meet business and technical demands. We are looking for someone who is creative, has very good software and database design skills, can work independently, has good communication skills and can brainstorm with the development team on new ideas. Key Responsibilities Include: Develop new features for existing solutions using PHP or Perl and HTML based on design specifications and customer requirements that connect to a fully normalized MySQL database. Implement and support existing applications using the technologies mentioned above. Recommend code and design optimizations to improve the scalability of the applications and maximize performance. Requirements: 2+ years of hands-on PHP OR Perl with Web application development experience. 2+ years of experience with MySQL. 2+ years of experience with HTML. Experience with Object Oriented development. Knowledge of Linux. Excellent project management and multitasking capabilities. Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills with little supervision. Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
