Default Where do I get "phpize"?

Hi,

I'm trying to install eAccelerator (http://eaccelerator.net/). In the
installation instructions, I need to run the command "phpize". Where
do I download this? It didn't seem to come with my default PHP 5
installation.

Thanks, - Dave

Now this might be a crazy question - but did you try asking the good
folks at eaccelearator.net?

They, after all, are the ones requiring it.

You need the PHP dev package. How to install that depends on your
system. On a modern Linux box you can usually use the packet manager to
install it (e.g. apt-get on Debian). Downloading the entire PHP source
tarball and compiling your own interpreter would be another option. It's
not that difficult.
