There may have been a case for removing Saddam ... but there is no
authority whatsoever for Bush to enforce a democracy on Iraqis.

They have never had democracy and they don't really want it. The want
Americans out so they can run their own country as they see fit.

Bush has no legal basis for demanding they institute a government he
approves of. He has no authority to install mayors and other authorities.

Saddam's regime has been removed and our troops should be removed
immediately and the country restored to control of the Iraqi's.

You are right. The UN resolutions authorized the removal of the Saddam
regime but did NOT authorize Bush to install his own government in Iraq.

We should have pulled out immediately and turned it over to the Iraqi's.

It's THEIR country ... not Georgette Bush's.

The Iraqi's never had democracy and don't want it. They don't
understand it. As soon as we do eventually pull out, if ever, they will
go right back to a theorcracy.
It's anybodys guess which religion will wind up running the place but
one certainly will.
