What a retard. Obviously they would check to make SURE that there really is no bomb inside. Think about it - if all you had to do to
smuggle drugs, bombs, weapons, etc. in your bags was to write a cute little note for the Xray guys to see how effective would that
be? HMMMMMMMMMM?

Face it moron. You're too stupid to be a cop. Now go home, watch some more COPS reruns, wish upon a star and maybe, someday your
dream of becoming a real cop will come true.

Apparently reading comprehension among 'noobies' isn't all that
great, either. He was arrested for making a bomb threat when his
not specifically said there was NO bomb.

OK class. Pay attention.

Let's say you're a highway patrolman (or patrolwoman perhaps) and you stop a vehicle for expired plates. You approach the vehicle
and the first words out of the driver's mouth are "I don't have any drugs in the trunk so you don't need to look in there."

Are you telling me that you both (you and Yardpilot) would take his word for it? Or would you check it out? Personally, I would
check it out. Seems odd that someone would so quickly and openly deny it like that, even if he/she is just "joking".

Now let's take our little example to the Xray scanner at the airport. There you are scanning bag after bag and you find one that
says "There's no bomb in here, so you don't need to open this bag."

Are you going to trust this total stranger's word that there's no bomb in there and move on? What if you did and then you learned
later that the plane that bag ended up on exploded in midair killing everyone aboard? How would you feel then? What if you decided
to open it, and indeed there was no bomb - just a few vials of anthrax or other biological nasty? What then? Still think this is no
big deal? Sorry to burst your bubble boys and girls, but this cop made the RIGHT CALL to open that bag and detain it's owner. I'd
have done the same.

Let me see if I can enlighten you for a moment. It's a tall order but let's see if I can do it:

Suppose I'm your neighbor. I call 9-1-1 and tell the cops "There are NO BOMBS in my house, so STAY OUT of it."

The cops come, take a look around, find nothing unusual, so they let me be, as you say they should have done in the Socha case.

The next day, while you're away, my house explodes, taking with it your house and about half the block we live on. The media then
gets ahold of my 911 call and crucifies the PD for not stopping this terrible tragedy when they had the chance.

My question to you is this: Would you sue the police department for not stopping the bombing? Or would you stand behind their
decision to not lock me up for making possible bomb threats?

Think about it, and then think about what happened at Logan. There's my justification. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that
just because they found no bomb doesn't mean this kid isn't dangerous, or won't be later in life. He's obviously got problems and
Mommy and Daddy need to do a better job of parenting their "little angel". A felony rap might be just what the doctor ordered -
it'll keep the little snot from legally buying a gun or voting for YOUR next president.

THINK about it.
