Do wolves kill game at a higher rate then they can actally consume them?

Do they eat half a meal then kill another animal and leave un finished meals
around?

Someone suggested something along those lines in a letter to the editor. But
he did not clarify. Anyone got any ideas?

They only kill AOL users faster than they can eat them Something about
the stink of stupidity just drives 'em nuts.

Usually they'll just eat the choice parts like the liver, leaving the
tiny, insignificant brains to dry in the sun like little raisins.

Well thanks. I don't know if it does answer my real question. If things are
as you say then why it is Hunters hate the wolf so much?

It's being re introduced into my state and I am trying to understand the issue.

Could it be because the "hunters" are, nine times out of ten, live
stock owners that lose money when wolves overpopulate an area and eat
the goodies they raise so that you can have tasty Lamb chops and
chicken on the table?

With too many wolves, they can't eat and catch all the friggen deer
that are also reaching high numbers as well, that also happen to be
getting caught in the grill of my SUV on the hiways.
And when you have to replace the air conditioner condenser on a large
vehicle due to an antler poking it, I bet your last concern is for the
health of Bambi, when a pack of wolves should have taken that bastard
out last week instead of raiding the chicken coop!


Ask them. That's how you LEARN things!

Bear hunting is possibly getting re-introduced here where I live in
NJ, because there are too many of them, and they are at times breaking
into homes and yards of the people that live there.
They are NOT an endangered species!


In other words, if those dumb animals, after hundreds of thousands of
years haven't evolved enough to learn that humans are not only superior
to them, but deadly, and they can't learn that we will kill them just
for their meat, fur, or claws for cute necklaces, then they should be
shot when they invade our territory.
