Over the past 30 years the "liberals" and commies have spun
outrageous myths re the Chilean communist revolution which
was followed by the Pinochet middle-class counter revolution.

In a recent op-ed article American writer Ann Coulter tells it like it
really was:

Allende was an avowed Marxist, who in, like Clinton, got into power
on a plurality vote. [As did socialists, Pearson, Trudeau and Chretien
in Canada].
He instantly hosted a months-long visit from Castro, allowing Castro to
distribute arms to Chilean leftists. He began destroying Chile's economy
at a pace that makes [California governor] Gray Davis look like a piker. No
less an authority than Chou En-lai [Red Chinese co-leader with Mao Tse Tung}
warned Allende that he was pursuing a program that was too extreme for
his region".

Imagine that, Chou En Lai, who along with Mao murdered about 50 million
of their
own Chinese people, saying that Allende was moving too fast in his
communist "reforms".

Yeah that sets it straight for me, Let the US attack any government it
wants to, it doesn't matter if they were democratically elected, someone
like Anne Coulter will rationalize it, and the mindless neocons will cheer
it.

Meanwhile everyone else is scratching their heads saying, "Who do these

Not to be a revisionist of History, but I think we were part of a team
that brought down Hitler. The main players along with the US were the
French, the British and the Russians. In fact it took us almost two
years after the start of the war to get in. We were kind of Johnny
come lately. Well I guess better later than never.

With recent events I could understand why some would want to exclude
the Russians and the French. But gee the British. Patton would roll
over in his grave to hear that. He and Monty had a classic battle as
to their egos.
