Default CIA Directror George Tenet Accepts Blame For Misleading Bush On Iraqi-NigerUranium Deal

The CIA has admitted responsibility for
the error of not properly vetting a certain controversial
section of President Bush's last State of the Union Address.
Director George Tenet yesterday accepted blame for
the misinformation contained in the the alleged attempt of
the Saddam Hussein Iraq government to purchase uranium from
Niger for Iraq's nuclear bomb program.

Mr. Tenet admitted that there was no definite proof that
this had happened. President Bush has accepted Director
Tenet's apology and stated that the matter is now closed.

Is it because you know nothing in politics? Or because you pretend to
know nothing?

When it's hot for the big boss, there is always a "negro" down there who
will take the blame to save the big boss. Conda, aboard the plane,
called Tenet and asked him to take everything. The poor guy had no
choice. Politic 101.

Don't remember Baril when he said he had no plane to offer to Chrétien
to go to the funerals of King Jordan? (Chrétien was skiing with his
little children in BC and no desire to go to Amman). The good Baril took
the blame. Politic 101...

Congress is calling for someone to be held accountable, it's not over until
the fat lady sings. It's a sweet gesture though, that Tenet would take a
bullet for the president. Bush must have something good on him.

9/11 happened on Tenet's watch. The CIA had screwed up royally. Many
people thought Tenet, who was appointed by Bill Clinton, was through
then. But Bush left him in office.

Now some conservatives suspect that
someone in the CIA or the State Department, both of which opposed the
Iraq war, confirmed the Iraq-Niger negotiations re a uranium purchase
and inserted it in Bush's speech in order to undermine him.

The CIA knew the do***ent was fabricated
__________________________________________________ _________________________

The do***ent that supposedly proved Iraq was secretly trying to buy uranium from
Niger was fabricated.

And the CIA knew the do***ent was fabricated.
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The CIA knew because Ex-ambassador Joe Wilson went to Niger to verify the do***ent.
He returned and reported that the nuclear link to Iraq did not exist.

Congress should find out who put a KNOWN LIE lie in the State of the Union Address.

Whoever put this KNOWN LIE in the State of the Union Address committed a war crime
because this was a deliberate provocation to wage war against a country that did not
threaten America.

Tenet was appointed by Clinton and 9/11 happened on his watch. I am not
sure about the first Muslim bombing of the WTC in 1993. However, both
the CIA and State Department are infested, we might say infected, by
liberal Democrat bureaucrats. This explains why both the CIA and State
Department opposed the Iraq war and even the war on terrorism. Colin
Powell's State Department has been very soft on Saudi Arabia, but very
harsh with Israel. Frankly, I am often baffled by some of the actions of
the U.S. State Department and its personnel. If I were Bush, I would
clean up both State and the CIA immediately.

Tenet was the scapegoat in a cabal meant to whoop up war hysteria as a
pretext for invading Iraq. There was no probable cause for the
invasion. Iraq was complying with the united nations weapons
inspectors. After 3 months no weapons of mass distraction can be
found. Wag the dog, it's the economy, stupid!

How does Bush get off so easily when way back in 2002 Joseph C. Wilson
IV, the former US ambassador travelled to Niger and concluded that the
allegations of Saddam's purported yellow cake acquisition scheme was
false and without merit? They should have known back then, and I
believe they did know that the report was false. Just days later after
Bush delivered his speech to the United Nations, secretary of state
Colin Powell chose not to include those allegations in his report to
the United Nations. Powell had a strong suspicion that the information
was suspect. All signs point to the fact that Bush knew and that
scapegoated Tenet. what the hell Tenet is probably Bush's lackey
anyway. He's a republican and since we live in an era of divided
government Tenet kowtowed to Bush.

The CIA is just the upper echelons of the right wing corporate media
monopoly. The Cia is just a federal version of Hollywood on the
international political scene, fabricating information enough so as to
justify the imperialist agenda of the oil tycoons. Iraq will be
another banana republic for Haliburton and Brown and Root, and Cheney
is the lion in the desert. what a joke.
