Default Docs push universal health care

Yes, well, these poor dudes paying withholding taxes are spending $billion
per week to "liberate" Iraq and that doesn't seem to bother many of them,
does it? With healthcare, at least we'd get something out of it a little
more than dead soldiers.

Default Docs push universal health care (left-wing)

: Nearly 9,000 doctors, including two former U.S. surgeons general and a
: former editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, have signed on
: to a drive to create a Canadian-style national health insurance
: system.

So 9,000 doctors are left-wing wack-jobs. BFD.

9,000 doctors are upset at the way their income is controlled by bureaucrats
at HMOs, so they think bureaucrats at the Federal Government will treat them
better. What they don't catch on to, and believe me doctors are some of the
most inept financial managers there is, is that when the money is filtered
through DC first, there are many, many more factions vying for it, and the
doctors ain't gonna be anywhere near the top of the handout roster.

They just want to steal money from the Treasury. The people of Oregon
rejected this scam.
There is a revolt in California. Support it by boycotting the robber
barons!

Good point. I wonder how many of these doctors work at the VA?

Well, as a proud ????<GGGGG> customer of the one there on OST, I can
honestly say I've never seen *any* of them there. In fact, with the 18
month, 300,000 member waiting list, I doubt *anyone* has seen a doctor there
yet.

I would suggest anyone wanting Single Payor or government healthcare, take a
turn at the VA.

Probably all the worst ones, that can't make a decent living because
they have been sued too often for losing patients. LZ

I can go to the VA for anything (10% service-connected disability), yet I
choose to pay the copay and go to a private hospital.
