Ge****e's gonna take a month off. U.S. Soldier in Iraq Killed by Land Mine
The deaths late Wednesday and Thursday brought to 51 the number of
U.S. soldiers killed in combat since President Bush declared an end to
major combat on May 1.
So far, 166 American forces have been killed in the Iraq war, 19 more
than in the 1991 Gulf War.

U.S. Soldier in Iraq Killed by Land Mine
BAGHDAD, Iraq -- A U.S. soldier was killed Thursday when his armored
personnel carrier ran over a land mine on the dangerous road from
central Baghad to the city's airport, the military reported.
It was the second death reported by the military Tuesday, the first a
soldier killed in a small-arms fire attack northeast of Baghdad late
Wednesday.
The U.S. military in Baghdad said the mine exploded beneath a M113
armored personnel carrier, killing the soldier and wounding three
others.
