No he didn't. He told us that Saddam had weapons, he told us that he was
prepared to give them to fanatical nut cases, he told us that he was
prepared to use them on his neighbours. But you know all this, and still you
whine on about it. Saddam is gone, the world is slightly better off, end of
story.

Exactly.

And - we can't find even one WMD - despite your claim Saddam had
them. Bush said they had 30,000 shells, for instance. Amounts of some
stuff which would take between 33 and 7000 trucks to contain it -
depending on how it was prepared. That Iraq had reconstituted its nuke
program - and facilities to make nukes are far too large to hide. And
so on. The theory that Iraq had these WMD - but we just can't find
them - requires you to make absurd assumptions.

As to using them on neighbers - you say Iraq was a fearful nation -
afraid to use its weapons agains us - but now you claim they are
fearless - willing to attack neighbors - even though the last time
they did that - it was a disaster.

That's an absurd position. They can't be afraid to use weapons - when
faced with destruction and personal death - but fearless enough to
attack Israel - thought that would lead us to retaliate.

You are forced to take wild positions to avoid a simple explanation
for all the facts - Bush lied.
