Palestinian Suicide Bomber Kills 19 in Israel
Sat October 04, 2003

By Matt Spetalnick

HAIFA, Israel (Reuters) - A Palestinian suicide bomber blew herself up in
a crowded beach restaurant in the northern Israeli city of Haifa on
Saturday, killing at least 19 people including three children, police said.

The attack just before the Yom Kippur fast day provoked an outcry abroad
and renewed demands in Israel for the government to exile Yasser Arafat,
prompting Palestinian leaders to appeal to the world to prevent any
assault to oust their president.

The Islamic Jihad movement said it was behind the attack, in which the
bomber struck as families sat down for lunch on the Jewish sabbath at the
Maxim restaurant, owned by a Christian Arab and a Jewish family and
frequented by Arabs and Jews.

"Suddenly we heard a tremendous explosion. We saw smoke pour out of the
restaurant and the windows shattered," said witness Navon Hai. "There
wasn't much we could do. Families were dead around the tables, there were
children without limbs."

Wires and roofing material were left dangling. Windows were shattered on
all sides of the restaurant and shoes and bloody clothing littered a
nearby parking lot. Dazed people wandered around in swimming trunks after
leaving the beach.

The bomber's severed head with a long mane of dark hair lay on the floor
in the center of the restaurant, surrounded by other body parts and bloody
clothes. A black and white checkered baby carriage stood amid the wreckage.

Police said the dead included three children and a security guard, and
that about 50 people were wounded. Israeli media said one of the dead
children was a baby of several months and the two others were aged three
and five. A number of Israeli Arabs were also thought to be among the dead.

Islamic Jihad named the bomber as Hanadi Tayseer Jaradat, 29, from the
West Bank city of Jenin. It said she was avenging the killing of her
brother and cousin, Islamic Jihad members, by Israel in the three-year-old
Palestinian uprising for statehood.

FIRST BOMBING IN WEEKS

The suicide bombing was a new blow to a stalled U.S.-backed peace "road
map." It was the first since twin attacks killed 15 people on September 9
and the first since Israel's cabinet decided in principle on September 11
to "remove" Arafat.

The attack followed an increase in tension this week after Israel decided
to build a new stage of its barrier with the West Bank which will cut deep
into Palestinian territory.

Arafat condemned the attack and said it would give Israel a pretext to
obstruct international peace efforts.

Prime Minister-designate Ahmed Qurie, whose government is obliged to rein
in militants under the road map, urged militants to "fully halt these
actions that target civilians."

"That is too little and too late," said Jonathan Peled, an Israeli Foreign
Ministry spokesman, demanding action not words.

Israel blamed Arafat for the violence and is likely to mount a tough
response to the suicide bombing. "Arafat has become a living obstacle to
peace. It is imperative that we get rid of him," Israeli Science Minister
Eliezer Sandberg told Reuters.

"This is not just another incident," said Deputy Prime Minister Ehud
Olmert. "If Israel reaches the conclusion that it must take serious
action, it will have to do it and the world will have to accept it."

The Palestine Liberation Organization's executive committee appealed to
the world not to permit an Israeli assault to prise Arafat out of his West
Bank headquarters, urging it to prevent any "crimes...against President
Arafat personally."

President Bush led international condemnation of the bombing.

"This despicable attack underscores once again the responsibility of
Palestinian authorities to fight terror, which remains the foremost
obstacle to achieving the vision of two states living side by side in
peace and security," he said.

Britain, France and Germany also condemned the bombing. The United Nations
said such attacks harmed the Palestinian cause.

The Palestinians say it is hard to end violence when Israel continues to
track and kill militants in air strikes and keeps in place army blockades
that restrict Palestinians' movement. <====

Palestinian witnesses said Israeli troops shot dead a militant and a
nine-year-old boy in the Tulkarm refugee camp in the West Bank. Israeli
military sources confirmed the death of the militant but said they had no
reports of a boy being killed.

Doesn't seem stupid at all. Makes perfect sense. What else makes sense is
that Sharon wants to keep the billions of U$ missiles, bombs and child
killing equipement rolling in, and it would be hard to justify that without
the created problem of terrorism. And the Palestinians have their
leadership no doubt getting paid through a more circuitous route with U$
cash as well. So it's a big happy family there, the bloodshed is
profitable, and a police state is great for the economy. Everybody loves
it, except the ordinary people suffering in the middle of this game.

Couple this with two unenlightened, insular, revenge based religions
providing guidance and motivation for the people and you have a wonderful
self-perpetuating violence phenomenon. Should they accept Jesus, who told
us to love our enemy? Maybe they should trash their false gods. You don't
see suicide bombing Christians, and you don't see Christians walling
themselves off and stealing non-Christians land. Well not recently anyhow.

Did you suicide bomb your own brain?

wreckage.

Wicked man! Where can we see the pictures?

Family 'proud' of suicide bomber

The parents of a Palestinian suicide bomber who killed 19 people at a
restaurant in northern Israel have spoken of their pride in their daughter,
and said she had avenged the death of her brother at the hands of the
Israeli army.

Hanadi Tayssir Jaradat, 29, who worked as a lawyer in the centre of the West
Bank town of Jenin, was a devout Muslim who would assiduously pray and read
the Koran, her parents said.

The unmarried woman had witnessed the death of her brother, Fadi Jaradat,
and cousin, Saleh Jaradat, during an Israeli army operation in Jenin on June
12. Both were members of the radical Palestinian Islamic Jihad group.

"She saw the killing in the house of her brother and cousin three months
ago," her mother, Umm Fadi, said. "She was deeply upset, as she was very
close to her brother.

"I am happy with her because she has killed those who have killed my son.
They kill us every day, and demolish our homes every day."

---> OK I guess the cultural divide is deep here... but... are you ****ING
STUPID??? How did the children in the restaurant kill your son?... now you
have 1 less daughter too, retard, and she's pleasuring Satan in hell right
now. You people need to throw off the religious conditioning and
brainwashing. Stay over there in the mideast, you belong there. Many Jews
are no better, it's primitive tribalism financed by the USA and perpetuated
by barbarian religions.

Speaking in a neighbour's house, after the family home was destroyed by the
Israeli army early today, Umm Fadi said that she had had no idea what her
daughter was about to do.

She said her daughter had left home as usual at 7.30 am on Saturday (1530
AEST), as she headed off for the market.

But instead of travelling to her office in Jenin, Jaradat headed for the
northern city of Haifa with an explosive device that she detonated in the
Maxim restaurant, a business co-owned by Jewish and Arab families, about
seven hours later.

"She was very normal," said Umm Fadi. "But when I heard that there was an
explosion in Haifa, I tried to call her. As a mother, I felt something might
have happened.

"Then the television said it was Hanadi. I was very shocked."

Her father also spoke of his pride, as the Al-Jazeera Arab satellite channel
played a video of his daughter shortly before she embarked on her suicide
mission.

"I am very proud of what she has done," Tayssir Jaradat said.

"She is a very strong person. She would pray and read the Koran every day."

In a statement claiming responsibility for the attack, Islamic Jihad said
that it had been a response "to the Israeli crimes which continue against
our people and our fighters".

Israeli government spokesman Jonathan Peled said that there had now been 121
suicide bombings against Israeli targets since the start of the Palestinian
intifada, or uprising, just over three years ago.

"There is no way of profiling a suicide bomber," he said. "Whoever resorts
to a suicide bombing has no respect for human life."

Israel has the right to destroy neighbourhoods and steal land but
Palestinians don't have the right to fight back? I think the suicide bomber
strategy is incredibly stupid, killing the most committed fighters you would
have by simultaneously discrediting your cause while giving Sharon an excuse
for more attacks. They would have more credibility if they stuck to
standard guerilla war tactics against the military.

This makes me think that the ones sending these flawlessly mind-controlled
'martyrs' are being guided by unseen hands, possibly the CIA, in order to
keep the region unstable. Israel has a motive for provoking more terror
attacks, as that keeps the US cash rolling in by the billions per year.

Here's a link to FBI funding of Hamas. Starting to get the picture?

FBI wanted to find out if money used for terrorism
