18 months in jail for licking someone's feet? Once again Amerika gets
its priorities completely mixed up. They're chasing after foot-lickers
while the whole ****ing country is being ****d by WMD Bu$h and
Halliburton...

Foot Licker Gets 18 Months in Jail

UXBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) -- A man accused of licking a woman's feet in a
Bellingham grocery store was sentenced to 18 months in prison after
pleading guilty to assault just before his trial was to begin.

Raymond Dublin, 36, formerly of Providence, R.I., pleaded guilty
Tuesday at Uxbridge District Court to charges of assault and battery
and lewd and lascivious behavior.

His attorney asked for a sentence of two years of counseling, but
Judge Paul Losapio said counseling wasn't sufficient for Dublin, a
two-time convicted *** offender who just completed a one-year sentence
on similar foot-licking charges at a Woonsocket, R.I., supermarket.

"I don't know what type of counseling someone could undergo for this
kind of behavior," he said.

Dublin was charged with sneaking up behind a woman at the Bellingham
Save-A-Lot supermarket and licking her feet and toes in June 2002.

Prosecutor Paul Bolton said Dublin had three separate encounters with
the woman, whom he described as "extremely annoyed."

"This individual, this gentleman, has a significant ***ual problem,"
Bolton said of Dublin.

How would you like it is someone licked your mothers foot in a grocery
store ?
That is assuming,of course,that you know who you real mother is.

Well I'm still waiting on you.
Anyways,it is a complex question that I'm not qualified to answer with
any precision,for a variety or reasons.
First of all,different states have different laws regarding assaults.
There are no over riding U.S. Federal assualt laws ( Correct me if I'm
wrong any legal pros).
It can be any contact yes - I can literally tap you on the shoulder and
can be sued.
I remember getting whacked quite a bit by teachers in school (I'm 34)
but now days,thats a thing of the past.
I mean I used to get slammed into lockers,get whacked with big old
paddles,had my knuckles rapped with rulers,hit in the head,and I really
thought nothing of it ( Though I did blow up a teachers car in
retaliation in 9th grade).
No physical contact is allowed by those in authority over children -
There have even been cases of kids suing their parents for being
slapped,and parents having their children taken away for spanking them.
There have been teachers charged with ***ual assault for patting kids on
the back - Though of course the pat might have been,in realitiy,a little
lower than the back.
Thats good and bad I suppose. Child abuse cannot be tolerated at all,but
I'm not so sure a little spanking or slap constitutes abuse.
Does it not say in the Bible .. words to the effect that 'if you spare
your children the rod,you do not truly love them ..' ?

The intention,I would like to think,is important.
If I tapped you on the shoulder to ask the time of day,and you sued
me,obvioulsy that case should be thrown out - But one never knows.
Alot would depend on what state your in,witnesses , and of course the
judge/jury.
They are now trying and convicting people infected with AIDS,when they
spit at someone,for attempted murder - Especially if that someone is a cop.
I'd have to say I'd agree with the theory behind that.

To sum up,the old definitions of assualt,such as simply punching someone
or hitting them over the head with a beer bottle,are still in play.
There is quite a large gray area that has been opened up in the past
couple decades as to what is considered assualt,and I'd be interested if
anyone has any recent links on the subject.

The foot licking thing though,yeah thats outright indecency,perverted
and should be classified as a ***ual assualt.
