Karen Gordon
You have a lot of growing up to do.
In the first place, you're an *anonymous* Canadian. What is so wrong
with your comments that you refuse to put your name to them?
If you feel so strongly about your position, why do you hide behind a
pseudonym to state it?
Karen shows the courage of her convictions by identifying herself.
Secondly, the United States is like any other nation. It has its
strengths and its weaknesses.
To admire one of the many *positives* about the U.S. does not make one
exclusively pro-American.
To be critical of one of the many *negatives* about the U.S. doesn't
make one exclusively anti-American either.
There is no requirement of Canadians that they constantly praise their
neighbour to the south. We have every right to speak our minds
concerning what we see as wrong actions by the administration in
Washington.
In fact, as an ally and major trading partner of the U.S., Canada has
an obligation to speak out, when it sees the U.S. going the wrong way.
"Friends don't let friends drive drunk," and friends don't hesitate to
warn friends, when they are behaving improperly in other ways.
That is just ****ing male chauvinism talking.
You are the one who needs to graduate into the 21st century.
You could start by identifying yourself. Thatt would give your
comments some credibility.
