Not to the extent that conservatives do. Most of the talk from the right is
divisive rather than cooperative.

Al Gore said republicans have an extra chromosome (i.e Down's Syndrome). Al
Gore said republicans want to kill people with their evil policies, Terry
McAuliffe said if republicans had their way old people would live in the
gutters, James Carville spews more hate in a day than any of his opponents
do in a year. Ann Coulter was on Crossfire and the tolerant liberal Carville
called her a fool, a nut and an idiot inside of five minutes. Julianne
Malveaue (sp?) said that she hopes Clarence Thomas eats lots of eggs and
butter and dies early. Julian Bond screamed that Bush had gotten John
Ashcroft "from the Taliban wing of American politics." Charles Wrangel said
the Klan doesn't wear sheets anymore, "they wear suits and talk about tax
cuts." The tolerant and compassionate Al Sharpton said the post-election
fight in Florida that conservatives wanted to "do the same thing to us" that
"Hitler in his wickedness
and evil" did to the Jews. Chris Matthews compared Republicans quoting John
F. Kennedy on tax cuts to "the Nazi Party quoting Kennedy saying, 'Ich bin
ein Berliner."

Left-Wing Senate elder Robert Byrd (D-KKK) blurted out the "N-word" twice in
a March 2001 TV interview. "There are niggers. I've seen a lot of white
niggers in my time," Byrd told "Fox News Sunday's" Tony Snow. How about
Craig Kilborn, host of CBS's "Late Late Show," who issued the call for
snipers while showing footage of George W. Bush during the election of 2000?
Patrick Kennedy told Democrats in Pennsylvania, "All you need to do is look
at Newt Gingrich, Trent Lott, **** Armey, Tom DeLay ... There's always been
a fascist kind of crowd in every society." And that TV spot funded by the
loving and tolerant NAACP showing a pickup truck dragging a chain and
accused Bush of having "killed" James Byrd "all over again" when he opposed
a change in the Texas hate crimes law. Never mind that two of the three men
are on death row. Bill Lockyer (left-wing liberal attorney general for CA),
who said last summer about the CEO of Enron Corp., "I would love to
personally escort him [Kenneth Lay] to an 8-by-10 cell that he could share
with a tattooed dude who says, 'Hi, my name is Spike, honey.' This is
liberal hate speech (called tolerance by the left). A Democrat politician
openly calling for an unpopular businessman to be ****d behind bars.

Here is another great example of left-wing hatred and intolerance by Paul
Begala, former Clinton hack who wrote on MSNBC.com about the election map
with color-coded election returns that showed a sea of red for George Bush
and small pockets of blue for Gore:

"But if you look closely at that map you see a more complex picture. You see
the state where James Byrd was lynched-dragged behind a pickup truck until
his body came apart -- it's red. You see the state where Matthew Shepard was
crucified ... for the crime of being *** -- it's red. You see the state
where right-wing extremists blew up a federal office building and murdered
scores of federal employees: red. The state where an Army private thought to
be *** was bludgeoned to death with a baseball bat, and the state where
neo-Nazi skinheads murdered two African Americans because of their skin
color, and the state where Bob Jones University spews its anti-Catholic
bigotry: they're all red, too."

But for pure left-wing hatred, pure meanness, pure vitriol, nothing matched
the tantrum by liberal psycho-lunatic Alec Baldwain. On Late Night with
Conan O'Brien and worked himself up over the pending presidential
impeachment and its ringleader, House Judiciary Chairman Henry Hyde; "I'm
thinking to myself if we were in other countries, we would, all of us
together, all of us together would go down to Washington and we would stone
Henry Hyde to death!" the Baldwin rant began. "We should go to his home, and
we'd kill his wife and their children. We would kill his family!!" So go
ahead and give me a lecture on tolerance and tell me how tolerant and
compassionate liberals are. A conservative who talked this way about
liberals would be crucified and yet Baldwin and forehead Begala are stars of
the mainstream left.

You are taking positions supporting your argument with things taken out of
context.

The Klan actually does wear suits, e.g., David Duke, and vote for tax cuts.
Newt Gingrich, Trent Lott, **** Armey, Tom DeLay did act as fascists, DeLay
is still one. Ashcroft is a fundamentalist and extremist in his record, and
does resemble the Taliban in desire for idealogical control to the loss of
rights. Chris Matthews is purely ratings driven, because he isn't even
speaking a fair presentation of his personal views, but views that will
sell. Blacks use the "N" word among themselves and Senator Byrd was pointing
out that there are people of all colors that have earned a derrogatory slur.
Ken Lay destroyed thousands of lives and deserves far worse than he will
get. He failed to perform his fiduciary responsibity to thousands, while
taking very good care of himself. What have Republicans or Conservatives
done to clean up ethics? Nothing.

Republicans have become destructive and obstructive over the past three
decades. The Bush family has an internal competition with the Kennedys.
When I have heard her, Coulter was a liar and she seems more opportunist
than fair minded thinker. Tucker Carlson is an immature, emotional spinner
of facts. The impeachment move would be more appropriate for Bush than
Clinton. Clinton shouldn't have lied, but he shouldn't have been put through
a witch hunt for personal behavior. Bush's lies are directly job-related.
Republicans have been trying to destroy Democrats for twenty years, possibly
as pay back for Watergate, but whatever their machinations, they have been
more destructive to our government than productive. Some liberal private
citizens may speak their minds too much.

As to your state color points from the vote of 2000, unfortunately Begala
was correct. I think you need to think about that, he was pointing out that
hate and bigotry sells in those states, not to all people, but those who
exercise power.

Liberals love America and want to make it better, not worse. Conservatives
hate people that aren't "like them" and don't give a damn about opportunity,
rights or democracy. DeLay, Bush, Tauzin and their group have shown that
they squash dissent and debate, pull their deals in the dark of night and
have done as more damage to our democracy than good.

Conservatives want to roll back the clock to a time when child labor was OK.
Conservatives have managed to make many millions of Americans poorer, and a
select group even wealthier. Jobs are reduced, incomes and opportunities for
most are reduced, and hatred has been increased. We can't survive as a
society with the hatred being fomented by the right. Social contracts such
as fair labor laws, Social Security, etc., came into being, mostly through
Democratic efforts, because they were needed. They are still needed and
benefit everyone by making a fairer society, a better economy for all (the
businesses you like need the Seniors and others to be able to be clients)
and "there but for the grace of God" isn't just an expression, it means we
have an obligation to our neighbors, and disaster can happen to anyone. We
are only as strong as the weakest among us and we serve our self interest by
remembering that. Conservatives and Republicans have forgotten that value,
which is the real American value.
