Dear Mr. Watson:
No one, in my opinion, can advise you about the future and how
to handle it because what you are really asking for is an authoritative
pronouncement on the future and how it will turn out and no one can
provide that for you.

I was thinking about that point just this morning and had
an insight of sorts. Most guesses about the future end up with
mobs revolting and tearing up everything in sight and the country
dissolving into total anarchy. I think this might happen but at a
point further in the future than we usually guess. I think the first
move is going to be some sort of financial upheaval, say a rapid fall
in the value of the dollar with all the consequences this will entail.

I particularly like GeoDestinies by Walter Youngquist and
The Party's Over by Richard Heinberg for us well-informed beginners.
(Maybe someone else will add to the list.) Dr.Campbell has an information
and opinion packed book called The Essence of Oil & Gas Depletion which
should be in every library. A well-phrased question or two sent to
EnergyResources list will also get you several well-reasoned and
informative answers.

Have a look at history and you will not be very far out about what
will happen in the future.

It is hardly ever wrong !
