Today's Founder Quote: 'Today' People in America become slaves by their own poor choices, whether in health, nutrition, economics, education or criminality
Today's Founder Quote:
"Slavery, or an absolute and unlimited power in the master over the life and
fortune of the slave, is unauthorized by the common law.... The reasons
which we sometimes see assigned for the origin and the continuance of
slavery appear, when examined to the bottom, to be built upon a false
foundation. In the enjoyment of their persons and of their property, the
common law protects all."

Life is made up of both appropriate and inappropriate choices.
Accountability for choice leads to either good character, success and
increasing freedoms or repercussions which limit personal freedoms, burdens
society and tax others for the poor choice of others.
Liberalism insists equality mean continued poor choice be rewarded as like
good choice. Bell curves in education rewards mediocrity or poor study
habits and prescription drug programs reward poor choice in the planning,
poor labor history and savings habits. Personal responsibility means
accepting have one makes his bed and then made to lie in it.
"Those who do not work should not eat." (2 Thessalonians 3:10)

"The Grecians and Romans were strongly possessed of the spirit of liberty
but not the principle, for at the time they were determined not to be slaves
themselves, they employed their power to enslave the rest of mankind."
--Thomas Paine
