Default Why Iraq Is Proving More Difficult Than Afghanistan And What Should Be Done

The logical solution would be to relinquish control of Iraq to the U.N., the
reason Americans are having such a tough go is Iraqis see them as occupiers
that are only there to steal the oil and control the country.

Send in a true international force of blue hats, not Bush's phony coalition
of the bribed and bought, this would go along way to calm Iraqi fears that
Americans just want to steal the oil. Of course, Bush managed to alienate
every nation that was opposed to the war so this is unlikely to happen.

More to the point is that they need to at least triple oil production from
1.5 bbl/day to maybe 4.5 bbl/day to make any money here. So far the war is
costing them twice as much as they could get keeping ALL of the revenues, so
they need security before they can profit ( looking at the big picture ). Of
course companies like Haliburton will profit specifically while the cost of
the war will be borne by the public.

What the Americans need to do, is to get a new American government in place
as soon as possible in Washington, one that won't lead the US and it's
allies into bloody messes. I'd be happy with another Republican
administration, if it was led by someone who had the ability to lead the war
camp instead of be led around by the nose by it.

Default How To Solve Mess In Iraq (right-wing)

1) Find Saddam and return him to power on the condition that he'll
become an American ally once again and restore the flow of cheap oil.

2) Impeach Bush and Cheny on the host of crimes they've committed and
restore Gore to his rightful office.

3) Give right-wing American fascists a one way ticket out of the
country so they can sacrifice their own lives for whatever unelected
dictator they choose.

ciao,
Trebor

Well stated. There is hope for the country so long as there are people
like you around that can see what's actually happening. Keep your eyes
and ears open - the Cheney administration would love to kill or imprison
you.

Bush can't do that after showing the world the "most wanted" deck of cards.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~
GOP will never support that.
Can't do that because it's a violation of Human Rights to force a citizen to leave his own country.
