Default Updating an OLD version

I have an OLD application that appears to have been built using Clarion.
All I have are the installed files. They run fine on a W98 machine, but
have problems on W XP. The Clarion files (CWRUN32.DLL, CWDOS32.DLL and
CWTPS32.DLL) are all versin 0.1.5.2.

My question is this: Is it possible to upgrade the runtime files to work
with WinXP without rebuilding the application? Or should it have worked with
Win XP?

I am not at all familiar with Clarion.

Thanks.

Clarion 1.5, approx 1995

In theory, maybe.
In practice, no

Have you tried using the Compatability tab to tell Windows XP to run
it as if it were running under Windows 98?

This tab appears when you right-click either the executable or a
shortcut to the executable for a Windows program and when you
right-click a shortcut to the executable (but not the executable
itself) for a DOS program and select "Properties".

This tab has a link to the Help System, and that topic includes a link
to invoke a "Compatibility Wizard". This didn't work to well (or like
most Wizards) when I just tried it, however, since you know the
program worked under Windows 98 testing this shouldn't be too hard.

If you have not tried, I suggest you do so. If you have, I apologize
for wasting the bandwidth. I cannot guarantee that it will work.
