Default Maximum Heap Size in IBM JVMs

Hello,

Has anyone noticed strange behaviors toward maximum heap size in IBM
JVM ?

Using the 1.4.1 version under AIX I noticed that the use of -Xmx option
is useless if the number is suffixed using an uppercase M.

-Xmx512M does not cause any error message but seems to set a max heap
size equal to the default max heap (64M).

-Xmx512m works fine.

I tried to find out information on that subject in IBM do***entation,
but unfortunately nothing deals wih that subject (but uppercase and
lowercase M's are given as examples).

Regards
