Default I installed turbo delphi explorer and now problems

Hello there,

I have installed turbo delphi explorer and yes registration works the ide loads and ready to go. However I cannot rename files, I also cannot install the hotfix. I am using Windows Vista RC1 beta.

I was trying to register the component Gauges
so I had to add the register procedure and when I tried to save the changes it said

Unable to rename file 'C:\Program Files\Borland\BDS\4.0\Source\Win32\Samples\Source\ Gauges.pas' to 'C:\Program Files\BDS\4.0\Source\Win32\Samples\Source\_history \Gauges.pas.~1~'

I dont understand cos Im not renaming the file.
Im only changing the sourcecode.

and When I try to install the hotfix it says

Checking file: Borland.Studio.Interop.dll Version 10.0.2288.42451
Installing file: Borland.Studio.Interopp.dll

Then an error appears

Cannot create file "C:\Program files\Borland\BDS\4.0\bin\Borland.Studio.Interop.d ll"

Anyone got any ideas?

Ben

If anyone does experience this problem, thats fine
cos there is a solution

You have to turn off UAC

You can do that by going to msconfig, selecting the last tab
and selecting 'disable UAC'

Restart your pc and you are able to install the hotfix and also
rename the files. works like a charm
