Default A/UX 3.0.1 loading problem on Quadra 650

Hello,

After installing succesfully A/UX 3.0.1 on Macintosh Quadra 650, I was
unable to boot the os.
The error was: "This startup disk will not work for this model of
Macintosh..."

The solutions which I find are not helping me, becouse they need
another hard drive with MacOS installation, which installation media I
don't own ( http://mailgate.dada.net/comp/comp.unix.aux/msg00422.html
)

Looking for more info from apple web site
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=13890&coll=ap , I
realized that I need a enabler. Where to download this enabler from
and how to load it, since the only way for me is via floppy image?

Thank you in advance !

You can download the enablers here:
http://www.info.apple.com/support/oldersoftwarelist.html

You will need System Enabler 040 for your Centris 650.
Macintosh Centris 650 System Enabler 040

Hello,

How to replace the enabler with this one -
System_Enabler_040_1.1.sea.bin ?
I don't have any idea.

It's a compressed archive. You'll need something like Stuffit
Expander to translate the binary (the .bin suffix); the .sea is a self-
extracting archive.

Using suffix extractor on OSX , I was able to mount the .bin image,
but the System_Enabler_040_1.1.sea.bin didn't work!
The only enabler that works for me was one from aux-penelope.com site:
http://aux-penelope.com/files/AUX_3.1_Boot.img.gz
Using SCSI controller on my g3 i was able to replace the enabler file
into the Macpartition of the A/UX hdd. ( Note that only the System
Enabler 040 is the file that needs to be replaced ).
