Default question on bochs

Hello,
I have installed bochs for linux to run minix, seems to work fine.
I would like to know if I will be able to modify the system as if I
had minix on a partition.
Thanks
Michael

Default question on bochs

If you mean can you modify source code and recompile the OS or
programs, yes. From my experience using Minix on Bochs on Windows I
would say almost the only difference between running Minix on the
hardware and running Minix on Bochs is that it is slower. One
exception -- you can't experiment with different hardware. A case
where this might matter would be if you wanted to experiment with
drivers for different ethernet cards. No matter what kind of ethernet
hardware your system has, Bochs makes it look to a guest OS as if the
ethernet card is an NE2000.
