The SemiVivA package of the VistA software as released on the VA's FTP
site on August 25, 2005 is now available at Source Forge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/worldvista). To use it, download it to a directory on your PC, e.g., /Distrib/OpenVistA/OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold2005.825.tgz. Then, *as root*, execute the following: cd /usr/local tar zxvf /Distrib/OpenVistA/OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold2005.825.tgz Then, for each VistA environment that you want to create, as a normal user with write permissions to the directory where the environment is to be created, execute: /usr/local/OpenVistA/vista --install <directory> If <directory> is omitted, or if --install <directory> is omitted, you will be prompted. Subseqently, to use a previously created VistA environment, execute: /usr/local/OpenVistA/vista --run <directory> The script /usr/local/OpenVistA/vista requires that Xdialog (http://xdialog.dyns.net) be installed on your PC. -- Bhaskar ks dot bhaskar at fnf.com <-- send e-mail here |
