Hello,

We are planning puchase a UML tool that can convert existing BCB code to
Class diagrams. Unfortunately using google we have ben unsuccessful in
finding any other than model maker which support delphi and vcl but not C++.

Any suggestions?

if you want to use the BCB compiler specialities you have to create your
own templates for that. Some work.

For class design, you should avoid Borland specialities.

For other diagrams like Activity, Use case, State Machine, Package, it
should not be a problem.

The integration of the VCL directly into Enterprise Architect could be a
challenge.

Just test it. It is for free for 30 days.

In our case the reengineering module worked fine. This feature gives you
a first impression.

Be aware: it is relatively cheap in comparision to other tools like
Together. Together is the alternative ...

Borland's Together does that at present.
Also note that Borland have integrated Together into
BDS2006 to support Delphi (C#?) and hopefully
will do the same thing for C++ in future versions.

I do not understand. Can together reverse engineer C++ Builder 6 code OR

The version that I have can. It the version that was compatible with
Borland C++ 2005 (also know as BCBX)

I'm using Borland Together Edition for C++Builder 2005
Version: 6.2.1
When I do a New Project and specify my existing source directory it imports
all classes that it finds and produces class diagrams etc.
It also gives lots of errors for dfm files, but then it shouldn't be parsing
them!

I have the impression that borland is featuring Together in moment
mainly for eclipse environments

I found in the feature list of EA (sparxsystems.com) even delphi .
