Default Compiling for QNX 6.2

I'm new to embedded systems and unix programming and am having some
difficulty compiling the Berkeley DB software for QNX 6.2 to a powerpc
target.

I am compiling on a Win 2K pc. I've set CC=qcc and
CFLAGS="-Vgcc_ntoppc -Wall -Wl,-melf32ppcnto".

When I run configure, I'm running it in a cygwin bash shell as follows
in the build_unix directory:

.../dist/configure --enable-cxx --build=i686-pc-cygwin
--host=powerpc-motorola-nto-qnx

When I run make on the generated makefile, it always invokes
ntox86-ld. I've tried various ways to get ntoppc-ld to be used
including setting LD, modifying the make file etc.

Maybe someone can tell me where I'm going wrong. The do***entations,
"compiles just like unix" isn't much help.

Thanks
Jon

Unfortunately, Berkeley DB's QNX port is intended to compile
natively on the QNX platform. I don't believe we've ever done
cross-compilation on Windows for QNX targets.

I finally got this to compile by going into the QNX sub-directories
and finding the configuration files which set the default compiler.
Changing the default to compiler to the correct cross-compiler solved
the problem.
