Default Current run level query

Is there a way to determine current run level in LynxOS? System V
offers who -r, other linux OS has runlevel command or RUNLEVEL
environment variable. LynxOS has apparently got none of these. I'm just
trying to check whether in single or multi-user mode.

"Runlevel" is a system V invention and it only exists in OS'es with a
system V-like init process, which LynxOS is not. Traditional Unix init
does not let you do that, so you'll have to come up with some trick.

The concept of "run level" doesn't apply to systems with BSD-like
startups, of which LynxOS is one.

What are you trying to accomplish that needs that information? Perhaps
there's a better way to solve the problem...
