Default DHCP client on pSOS 2.50

I am attempting to run a DHCP client on pSOS 2.50. I heard their is a
problem with the DHCP client in this version of pSOS. Does anyone know
what exactly the bug is? Is there a workaround?

What I am seeing is the client does not seem to accept the subnet mask
supplied by the DHCP server. (Server says 255.255.255.0, client sets
the interface to 255.255.0.0) This causes problems when trying to
renew the lease or when trying to see the client from another subnet.

I would appreciate any insight anyone could give me!

Thanks,
Ken N

Martin,

Processor is a Motorola 860p. I am not sure what Service pack I am
using. (Where could I find that info?)

Found it. I am running PSOS 2.5.0 original version. Does that mean my
DHCP client code has problems?

Do you know specifically what problems exist? Also, is there a later
version of PSOS that fixes these problems? Which version would I need
to get to have a fully-functional DHCP client?

Thank you for any info you can provide.
