I read the group, and I'd like to be a BeOS user again.

I just got here myself - after picking up a copy of BeOS 4.5 this afternoon.
I'd heard of it for several years, but never got around to involving myself
in it until now. Intriguing.

I do occasionally. I've had loads of hardware problems in the past 6
months and have just NOW gotten BeOS back up and running. New dual
processor anymore, but hey, it still runs great! My new setup:

Soyo K7VME
AMD Sempron @ 1.75ghz, 333mhz fsb
256 mb pny ram
40 gb hd (and another one, 80gb, that I need to put into it).
PNY Nvidia FX 5200 w/128mb vram
Intel 10/100 network card

With the 4x/8x agp slot and the NVidia-based card, and with the new agp
busman driver[s] the graphics on this machine are scorchingly fast!
Teapot running over 100 FPS consistently. 2 teapots at around 80 FPS.

Very nice machine indeed. Great for the price too, under $200!!

Anyway, glad to be back. Nothing beats the BeOS. In the interim, while
my BeOS machine was DOA, I was running Ubuntu Linux. I will continue to
run that machine as well, as it is possibly the best distro. of Linux I
have yet encountered!
