There is an example using a wooden crate. Its just an animation with a
trigger system etc. look for Combat 2 games in http://www.farzone.net/ I did have a go at making a proper exploding rock at one stage.... so here is how to do the geometry side of things. 1) make roungh rock shape using IFS 2) duplicate it and scale it down to 1/10th of normal size. 3) alter this mini rock to all the faces point in the opposite direction 4) seperate matching Groups of faces from both rocks. 5) join this bits together so as join inside rock part with coresponding outside part. 6) fill in the sides of these new shapes to form segments of rocks. now you just need to animate the bits flying around and maybe add some dust etc. good luck Paul Aslin http://www.vrmlworlds.com |
