Default future of my beloved Delphi?

Wondering what thoughts there are on the future of my beloved Delphi...

I am paranoid about this as my previous lang. (foxpro) while not officially
dropped by microsoft, is in reality dead in the water. I started using
Delphi for things with version 1 and love it. Awhile back, I had to start a
huge re-write of one of our old systems...at that point vb.net and c#
were -just- released...I pondered jumping on the bandwagon though, as I did
not want to be left out in the dark again, but the products were just too
new.. so I went with delphi 7.

It has worked great, and I really love working with it, but...I have noticed
that Borland is definately -not- promoting it as once they were..it is
starting to get that -back of the book- status in Programmer's
Paradise...just like foxpro did...oh boy...and, I am getting ready to start
something new again, and wondering what they hell to do...

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as I am fishing about for info...

thanks

Today is the final day of BorCon, during which Borland formally
announced the next version of Delphi. About a month ago, Borland
published a Q&A on its community Web site:

Octane and Delphi Q&A
http://community.borland.com/article...,29952,00.html

There is a fair amount of other information on that site regarding
Borland's plans for Delphi.
