Default Help for configuring JBuilder for accessing PostgreSql database

Hi,

I'm a new JBuilder 2005 user, and I'm getting my feet wet in using
DataExpress but I can`t get the way for installing drivers for connectign to
Postgres databases.

I'll really apreciate any help, tutorial or links for doing this.

Nando.

The Database Application Developer's Guide included in the JBuilder help
will give you the information you need.

Very quickly...

"Tools | Configure | Libraries..." to configure the library for the JDBC
driver.

"Enterprise | Enterprise Setup | Database Drivers" to inform JBuilder that
the library is a JDBC library.

Default Help for configuring JBuilder for accessing PostgreSql database

Thank you for your posting. I followed the steps:

- Create a library file (postgres.jar).
- Derived the .config file as indicated.
- Add the new library to the project.

But I can't find the way to set the connection property of the database
component to the postgres database because in the database Connection's
dialog Drivers list I get only these:

com.borland.datastore.jdbc.DataStoreDriver
interbase.interclient.Driver
sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver

What am I doing wrong ?

Nando.

One more step. Open up Database Pilot. Select View | Options. Select
the Drivers tab. You need to add your new driver here. Make sure that
your sample URL does NOT include the "jdbc:" at the beginning, because
that will get added automatically.
