Hi Andy,


I saw this post on the newsgroup. Do you intend to do the same for other
classes of drivers? Such an abstraction layer might help to speed up
development of drivers and improve quality.

I know Mach, for example, tried this approach. Apple is also using an I/O
kit that abstracts whole classes of drivers. Might be an interesting lead
for yet anohter master project.

Btw, I'll be away from Nov. 21-25 to the IPA Herfstdagen on Security, so I
cannot attend the 'free labor' day at Nov. 24. I can assemble a list of
possible projects, though. Shall I ask Ben to present or do you want to do
that?

Hi all,

Please ignore the message below. I intended to send an e-mail to Andy
instead of sending to comp.os.minix. Thunderbird has the 'nice'
