Default .net V2.0 in 2006

Is the new 2006 version based on .NET V2?

What's the difference between 2005/2006? It's not clear on the borland
pages.

2006 includes C++Builder in addition to the personalities
from D2005. 2006 is also supposed to be faster, permits
the loading of individual personalities, and contains several
bug-fixes. It will come with the FastCode Memory Manager.

OK, thanks, but what happens if Microsoft official launches the .NET V2? Do
we get another update version again?

It seems that 2006 is only an update within 2005 version and not a new
version. I don't understand why we have to pay for this.

Delphi 2007 should have .NET 2.0 support.

2006 is supposed to have a C++ compiler, a new memory
manager, and a faster run-time library. I'd say that adding
the C++ compiler (by itself) was a major upgrade.

You don't have to. Just stick with 2005 or wait for 2007. ;^)

More correctly, the version code-named Highlander, scheduled
to be released in 2006, will support .NET 2.0. The actual
product name has yet to be announced.
