Default Status of BLT with TclKit/Starkits?

I would like to use a Starkit for development of an application that
requires BLT. The application also uses Harvey Davies' TCL-NAP numerical
processing extension [1].

Has there been any progress with either converting BLT over to stubs so that
it works with TclKit or building up-to-date TclKits with BLT statically
linked? I would be willing to build my own Windows and Linux TclKits with
BLT if there is a fairly straightforward procedure for doing so.

I considered using Freewrap-BLT, but it seems to have problems loading the
TCL-NAP .so from disk (not VFS). TclKit loads the .so, so it looks like my
best bet, assuming that the BLT issue can be resolved.

Thanks in advance for any new info about this. I really would like to adopt
the StarKit model for further development of my TCL projects. It looks very
clean, simple, and straightforward. I think the assumption that there will
be a TCL/TK interpreter with the appropriate extensions on the user's
machine is just plain unworkable, even in the Linux user environment.

Yes, there has in fact been some progress. In the Tcl chatroom, "stu_"
mentioned
his work on that. I am not sure whether that is now publically
available.
But try and contact him.

Regards,

Arjen

I've been working on a BLT enabled "bikit" (Blt Incrtk/iwidgets KIT ,
which has BLT compiled statically. I'm not sure if this is what you
want, but I've been able to compile it on Windows and Linux-x86.

Actually, compiling tclkit on Linux is straightforward, and you only
have to change some things in src/kit/src/kitInit.c and add libBLT24.a
in the final stage.

However, you can contact me and I will send you a bikit for Win32 and
Linux-x86. It is based on 8.4.3 and Itcl/Itk 3.3. I'm using these builds
mostly for my company, so I do not host them anywhere, and noone has
asked about this for some time.
