Make sure your cell padding and spacing is BLANK and not at 0.

I teach DW at U.W. in Seattle And we Constantly run into the issue of Table
spacing and hairline spaces that cant seem to go away, once in a while It takes
some poking and prodding at the table code but after Dealing with many classes
involving tables I can say that 95% of the time it is solved by Making sure
your cell padding and spacing is 0 and not BLANK, just the opposite of what
withhisstripes posted, BUT the UW uses DW MX and not 2004 so it may be only
related to their version.

I can say it's 100% that. Leaving them blank allows the browser to use its
default (and non-zero) values. And of course, each browser's default is
different.
