where to start

Greetings-
I like to install lynx on a home pc. Would someone please
recommand a download site, version to use, and how to install
procedures?

Assuming you're asking about the hard realtime operating system called
LynxOS, it is a commercial product, and not available for general
download.

Free time? There's no such thing. It just comes in varying prices...

Here is what you do. Download and install the vmware player from vmware.com. Then install any of the fedora core 4 or 5 images from there. It is a good way to get started with linux without having to reinstall an operating system.
