Writing PDF in NewDeal
Siguird Pistor told me quite good trick for making pdf files from NDO
"You needs Windows, Ghostscript 7.04 (6,1 MB
http://home.tiscali.de/downloadspace/gs704w32.exe) and Ghostview 4.3
(1,6 MB http://home.tiscali.de/downloadspace/gsv43w32.exe). The

In Geos/NDO2000 you must install a PostScript-printer-driver. I have
used the driver Agfa-Compugraphic 9400P (PostScript) v49.3. By port:
don't select LPT1, select To file.
To create a PDF-File from a ndo2000-file, the ndo2000-do***ent must be
printed to a file with the postscript-printer. Open the ndo2000-file,
go to File - Print.... In printer menu select the printer
Agfa-Compugraphic 9400P (PostScript) v49.3 and click to Print To
Now give the file a name. The name of the file should be ending with
ps for example test.ps
Is the file saved, start Ghostview (GSview 4.3) and open the file
Go to File - Comvert..., select the device: pdfwrite, click OK and
then name the file for example test.pdf
On this way you also can print geos/ndo - do***ents with a usb-printer
or a printer, that is only created for windows"
This works quite well, as you can see my village magazine (made by NDO
writer) in address (2mb): http://www.saunalahti.fi/erakko/kevat03.pdf
Some problems still exist. Some pages made in writer do not convert at
all in pdf format. Sometimes it helps to convert some images in NDO to
bitmap, but the quality of image drops down...
I have not found any kind of logic for why some pages just dont
So, DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING AS A SOLUTION IN THIS PROBLEM?
