I am trying to print to my HP Laserjet 4, using Xprint.

I have edited /etc/Xprint/C/print/attributes as follows:

*xp-model-identifier: HPLJ4family

I have added my printer to this file also as follows:

lucy.xp-model-identifier: HPLJ4family
lucy.xp-ddx-identifier: XP-PCL

Is this the correct ddx ? I don't know.
Where can I get a list of available model-identifiers and ddx-identifiers ?

From the command prompt, I type:

xphelloworld -printer lucy

My printer spews tons of blank pages and none of them have "Hello World" on
them.

I have found /usr/share/Xprint/xserver/C/print/models/HPLJ4family/model-config

This contains an entry:

*xp-ddx-identifier: XP-PCL-MONO

I have amended /etc/Xprint/C/print/attributes/printer with the entry:

lucy.xp-ddx-identifier: XP-PCL-MONO

I still get tons of blank pages when I try to print.
