Default applescript to notice when a new window opens

I hate the way Mail in OS X opens new message windows down and right of
the previous window. I would like to write a script that can tell when a
new window opens and automatically move it so the top left corner is
aligned flush left of the screen and just below the menu bar. Does
anybody know if this is possible?

Not with a script, no. There's no system-wide hook for the "open a new
window" event to hang a script on. --
