Does anybody know if I can change (hack) my connection options to
select Hayes compatible modem on com6 instead of com1 when setting up
a connection where it says "add a new modem connection". I am trying
to get a connection to a cell phone serial port with a Socket brand
serial bluetooth adapter connected to it. The adapter only supports a
serial bluetooth profile. With this setup, I am able to dial out and
connect with my pocket pc through my phone to a BBS system using a
terminal program on my pocket pc and selecting com6.

I can also connect to my internet provider by using a cable from my
pocket pc to my phone and selecting Hayes compatible modem on com1,
but I am trying to accomplish this same connection but using the
bluetooth serial adapter. Com6 is what is listed in the bluetooth
management setup for serial profile.

I have a ipaq 4150 pocket pc with windows mobile 2003 with integrated
bluetooth. I am using a Socket brand (cordless serial adapter) that
supports: -General Access Profile, -Service Discovery Profile, -Serial
Port profile. This cordless serial adapter is connected with a cable
to my cell phone.

Never mind. I figured out how to change my connection option to com6.
I used a registry editor and made the change. I have it all working
now.
