Getting access to MTP device
Hi all!
I'm currently trying to get access to my MP3 player (Samsung YP-T9J)
under Linux (from scratch system), which is capable of MTP.
When I connect it to an USB port, I get a console message that a new
high-speed USB device was connected; but when I try to use some of the
mtp-* commands installed with libmtp, they always just complain about:
bash-2.05b# mtp-detect
No MTP devices.
No devices.
bash-2.05b#
What to I have to do to make my device known to libmtp? Or do I need to
enable some kernel-options to allow MTP support?
Many thanks in advance,
yours,
Daniel Kraft
