Not just to "ourselves" but unto others as well, for Christ laid down
His wholly blameless life for ohers, not for Himself.

Doesn't work!!! God incorporates all the ideals one seeks to realise.
These ideals cannot be merely theoretical postulates, but to have meaning,
they must become realised / fully manifested in a human, such as Jesus
Christ. Without that, virtues mean nothing more than one's own convenient
interpretation of the word. I.e. love = ***, care = looking after number
one, etc. etc. Who is there to dispute your definitions of virtues
authoritatively, and convince / compel you to adhere to an established and
common standard? Only the god concept has that power.

THE MANDATE OF JESUS
