I know this to be untrue and just want to stand up and be counted.

Mr. Devane is probably referring to the total of individuals who have
ever applied for access to his internet site since it went online
12 years or so ago. This includes everybody who signed on,
checked it out and left again as early as the same day.
I know that list from 5 years ago and there were around 1200 max.

If there are three dozen active (real) members nowadays ---
if that many --- I'd be surprised.

I would have called him a bald faced liar before, were it not
for an apparent and obvious mental illness which leads the
man to repeated delusions of grandeur; a condition which
deserves pity or jest rather than (validating) opposition.

Bottom line...
Either Mr. Charles Devane is pathologically delusional and therefore
cannot be held accountable for the lies he spreads, or he is not
delusional, which would make him a bald faced, intentional liar.

Then again, there's always a third possibility - the combination
of the two - and he's neither nor but a pathological liar.

Dan is wrong as usual. There were 1593 members according to the website
software counter when I posted about it previously. That he has issues
with truth is no surprise to me. Of course, the number of active
members is considerably less than that number as is true of most groups
(whether online or not). This is Dan's usual tempest in a teapot.

an average of almost 2 per day. Things are looking up in the

another great opportunity to brag about the Summerlands:

Well, in the Druids' section there's about 60 different contributors on
the boards. This doesn't include the archives of course. Now there are
probably about 100 contributing members overall which is about the
average on the Internet. Not too bad considering that I haven't had time
recently to be more involved there myself. That's changing and things
are looking even better in the Summerlands:
