ATTENTION DOCTROID DOCTROID: Thad Van Cenks (sense year time treatise)

Somebody who shall remain nameless asked on the MOO, "How come everyone
says thaADVANCEnks?" I wondered if this might be on the Origin of Memes
page <http://web.syr.edu/~rsholmes/doctroid/firstmemes.html>, but it's
not. I then wrongly accused Beable of starting the whole thing. A
search found scattered occurrences from 1987 on, but most significantly
this complaint from Kibo:

His 1998 post

goes on to give a thorough exegesis, referring back to his 1997 treatise,
"SOME OF THE PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET ARE WEENIES!!!"

and the complaint to which it referred,

misuse than 1987, by one year:

I have nothing important to contribute here, I'd just like to say that
I think the old 1980s Usenet posts with the bang paths are just the
cutest things evar. Who knew Usenet was around while the rest of us
were still playing "Blip"?
